Botox cream

Posted by admin in Health Information.

Botox cream
Botox is a really a commercial name owned by a private company. But in reality botox is a word used by many people loosely for different reasons. The word botox cream is also a paradox in itself. Botox is a registered brand for botox injections. This company does not produce any kind of cream. As far as botox registered company is concerned the idea of botox cream does not exist. For them it is contradiction in terms. The chemical used in botox is a protein that is toxic in nature, but if taken in very minute quantities it can help banishing of wrinkles on face. Botox injection gave very fast results and suddenly botox was a word known by ordinary people for looking young. Now this word botox in association with cream is used as botox cream to mislead people. The chemical present in botox injection is never present in any botox cream. It is also evident that the properties of botox injections will not be present in botox cream. Let us go in to the details of botox cream. Any botox cream will react very slowly in getting rid of wrinkles. This is not understood by ordinary people who feel that they will get efficiency of botox in botox cream. Botox injections work on different principles and so they give very fast results. In case of box cream it is just not possible to get fast results. If you have lowered down your expectations then on long terms the botox cream can be of some use for you. There is absolutely no similarity in chemicals present in any two so called botox cream. The point is that anybody can produce a cosmetic product and call it botox cream. They can advertise that it is useful like botox injections. This can mislead the ordinary people completely. As the chemicals involved are different their reactions are different. The effectiveness of the face cream will change from product to product. However everyone will call his product as botox cream. It is a fact that botox injections can have some side effects and hence you are supposed to take these botox injections strictly under strict medical supervision. This point is totally distorted by botox cream manufacturers. A botox cream manufacturer may conveniently say that he is having a herbal preparation. He will claim that his botox cream does not have any side effects. The ordinary person feels attracted towards side effect free botox cream product. The problem is that no one knows anything about the side effects of the botox cream. A botox cream can give different results, even side effects for different people. Is botox cream really fast acting? Is there any proof in no side effect claim of botox cream manufacturer? Has botox cream anything to do with botox really? Get answers to all such questions before you go for botox cream.

Travel vaccination information
The fastest growing industry in the world today is tourism. People are travelling to different countries and visiting exotic places. With travelling to new places travellers are also exposed to new food, new climates and new people. When travelling, there is a change in the environment. The travellers have to deal with drastically different temperatures - extreme cold, heat or humidity. This brings on the additional possibility of infections that are associated with these varied temperatures. Also, there are several parts of the world where diseases are still prevalent even though they may not be as active in the US. This along with the fact that healthcare services are not as advanced or prompt as in the US make it important for the traveller to be aware of and make arrangements for ensuring good health on a trip out of the country. The best way to do that is to have the appropriate travel vaccination information. Travel vaccination information can be got from the local health care centre or general practitioner. Even the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the CDC have guidelines that provide travel vaccination information. When travelling, you can never be sure of the quality of water and food that are going to be available. If travelling to tropical countries, the heat accompanied by various insects increases the risk of infection. Thus having travel vaccination information helps in preparing yourself for these eventualities. The first thing to check in getting travel vaccination information is whether the country that you are visiting has any vaccination requirements that need to be met. Many countries need an International Certificate of Vaccination before you enter. For example, many countries require travellers who have visited Africa or the Americas to have a yellow fever vaccination certificate to prove they are medically fit. Also countries like Saudi Arabia require all Hajj pilgrims to have a proof of vaccination against meningococcal meningitis ACW135Y. Travel vaccination information suggests that any vaccinations that need to be taken should be done 4-6 weeks before the travel date since the vaccine takes time to take effective. Also, as part of travel vaccination information, the CDC suggests that the traveller be updated in all the routine vaccinations that are done including tetanus, polio and hepatitis A/B boosters. There are recommended vaccinations that include typhoid vaccinations, Japanese encephalitis etc which will depend on the country you are visiting. Required vaccinations refer to vaccinations that countries expect you to have like the yellow fever vaccination. When travelling with children, travel vaccination information involves ensuring that the children have had all their booster shots as well as core vaccinations required for their age. Travelling is the most popular form of holidaying. Knowing the important travel vaccination information is one way of ensuring that a fun holiday does not end at the hospital.

Liver_detox

Liver_detox
Liver is considered to be most important organ of the human. Liver performs important functions which are essential for survival. It helps in digestion and assimilation. It stores essential minerals and vitamins such as copper, iron, B12, Vitamins D,A, E and K. RBC also know as red blood cells are produced inside the liver which carry oxygen around the whole body and the cells known as Kupffer which devour harmful microorganism in blood which helps them in fighting infection. Liver plays an important role in removing foreign bodies also known as toxins from gut, hence liver plays an important role in detoxification. A whole set of complex chemical reactions are used by lever in detoxifying harmful substances. The various enzymes convert toxins which are fat soluble into substance that are water soluble which then could be excreted through urine or bile. It becomes difficult to excrete the fat soluble toxins entering the body. They have high liking for fat tissues and cell membranes which are made of proteins and fatty acids. Toxins could be stored for many years in the tissues of body. The toxins could be released during fast, exercise and stress. The release of these toxins could also be accompanied by headache, stomach pain, fatigue, nausea, palpitations and dizziness and poor memory The liver could neutralise a range of toxic chemicals produced externally (from environment) as well as internally in the body. Due to nutritional deficiencies because of poor diet the metabolic processes goes awry as a result the type and level of toxins produced internally increases. The externally produced toxins which are detoxified by lever come from environmental source like contents of foods and bowels, air and water. Various herbicides and pesticides like DDT, dioxin, PCP, 3-D, and PCB etc. are found virtually in all fat tissues considered. Even eating organic food that is unprocessed requires detoxification as it contains naturally occurring toxics. There are several roles played by lever in detoxification such as 1. Filtering of blood so that large toxins are removed 2. Secretes and synthesis bile full of fat soluble toxins and cholesterol 3. Disassembles toxins using enzymes by either directly neutralising toxins or converting it into other intermediaries which are neutralize then. To prevent cancer lever’s detoxification is essential. Most of the cases of cancer are due to the environmental carcinogens like cigarette smoke, water, food, and air combining with nutrition deficiency which are require for detoxification. The susceptibility to cancer increases with exposure to carcinogens associated with detoxification that is slow.

Who developed the vaccination against polio

Posted by admin in Health Information.

Who developed the vaccination against polio
Polio, which is the result of the PolioVirus, has a long history of death and destruction. It has always been a dreaded disease especially in childhood and epidemics have regularly surfaced in human history, with the largest outbreak being in the first half of the twentieth century. Countries like the United States of America reported nearly 60,000 cases of polio in 1952 alone. Across the world, polio left thousands of children and adults paralysed and many more dead. This led to a race amongst scientists to see who developed the vaccination against polio first and put a stop to anymore damage. Today we have 2 vaccinations that are used against the poliovirus. So who developed the vaccinations against polio? The credit goes to 2 scientists who developed different types of the vaccination some years apart. The first vaccination was developed in 1952 at the University of Pittsburgh by Jonas Salk. Salk conducted tests on volunteers including his family, staff and himself. Following this, in 1954, nearly 2 million children, known as the Polio Pioneers, were used to test the polio vaccine developed by Salk. In 1955, the vaccination developed by Salk was reported to be effective in creating immunity against the poliovirus. Jonas Salk’s vaccination against polio is called the Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV). The vaccine introduces an inactive strain of the poliovirus which has the ability to trigger an immune reaction in the body and has the advantage of avoiding paralysis due to the vaccine. However, the IPV offers minimal immunity inside the intestines and thus, there is the continued risk of spreading the infection through fecal matter. Salk’s vaccination helped in controlling the spread of polio to a very large extent and was the only vaccination available until the second vaccination was developed. So who developed the second vaccination against polio? Albert Sabin developed the Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) in 1957. This vaccination was developed in response to the drawback of the IPV, namely, being unable to control the initial contraction in the intestines and stop the infection spreading. In developing the OPV, Sabin used an attenuated poliovirus which replicated in the gut. Sabin’s vaccine had the advantage of being easy to administer (orally) and a large population could be vaccinated. It was also more long lasting than the IPV which required booster shots. Sabin tested his vaccine on children in various countries including Russia, Sweden, Holland, Mexico etc. with the help of WHO. The US accepted the oral vaccine in 1961. Although it was Jonas Salk who developed the vaccination against polio first, and it was his IPV that helped in controlling the incidence of polio, it was Albert Sabin’s OPV that helped eliminate polio from the United States of America and many other countries.

Puppy vaccination schedule

Posted by admin in Health Information.

Puppy vaccination schedule
A new puppy in the house is as much joy and responsibility as a baby. Just as babies have to be taken care of, and taught right from wrong, so does a puppy need that love and care and guidance. Puppies in the house are much more than mere pets. They are part of the family and sometimes the best companion one could have. It is thus important that the health and well being of the puppy also be of primary concern, not only because it is in the best interest of the animal, but also because it is in close contact with humans and should not be the cause of any illness. With this in mind, we have available puppy vaccination schedules that provide guidance about what vaccinations that should be given to puppies and when they should be given. One thing that should be kept in mind when referring to puppy vaccination schedules is that there could be differences depending on the breed of the puppy, and thus a veterinarian should always be consulted when vaccination your puppy. Puppies, like human babies, receive natural antibodies from their mother through the placenta when in the womb. They also get antibodies from the colostrum rich first milk for the first 48 hours. However, the puppy only gets antibodies for those diseases for which the mother has recently had vaccinations or was exposed to. When following a puppy vaccination schedule, it is important to remember that while the puppy has antibodies from the mother, the vaccines will not work. Thus one should wait till the maternal antibody levels fall to a level low enough such that commercial vaccinations will work. Generally all puppy vaccination schedules suggest the puppy have its first set of vaccinations between 6-8 weeks. This will involve a core set of vaccines for Distemper, Leptospirosis, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvo virus, & Corona virus (DLHPPC) along with deworming and a physical examination. The puppy vaccination schedule recommends that this core set of vaccines be repeated every 3-4 weeks till the puppy is about 16 weeks of age. At 10-12 weeks of age, the puppy receives the core vaccines along with a Kennel Cough vaccination. According to the puppy vaccination schedule, at 14-16 weeks, along with the core vaccines, the puppy gets its first rabies shot. Following this, the puppy vaccination schedule suggests that annually the puppy get a core vaccine booster, a kennel cough booster and a rabies booster shot. Taking care of a puppy is hard work and a Puppy vaccination schedule is one thing that helps you plan out what is in the best interest of your family pet so that the puppy and you can enjoy good health and joy.
